Fresh momentum, new horizons. TrueNoord celebrates ten years of growth, partnership and performance.

“As we surpass every major milestone set out at the beginning, firmly expand beyond 100 aircraft, and welcome new investors to support this next phase, we enter a new decade full of optimism and confidence.” Anne-Bart Tieleman, CEO – TrueNoord

TrueNoord, the regional aircraft leasing specialist, celebrates its 10th anniversary this month, marking a decade defined by value-oriented and risk-controlled growth, trusted partnerships and a steadfast commitment to regional aviation worldwide.

Since its launch in 2016, TrueNoord has evolved into an industry leader in regional aviation and exceeded every major objective established at its inception. What began as an ambitious vision has evolved into a global platform with a fleet of more than 100 aircraft serving airlines worldwide.

“Ten years ago, we set out with a clear purpose and a belief that there was an important role for a dedicated regional aircraft lessor in the global aviation market,” says Anne-Bart Tieleman, CEO – TrueNoord. “We’re not only celebrating the scale we have achieved, but the relationships we have built. Every aircraft in our fleet, every transaction completed and every milestone reached has been made possible by the trust of our customers and the support of our financial partners through changing market cycles.”

“Our greatest asset has always been, and continues to be, our people,” says Tieleman. “We have assembled an exceptional team of talented professionals who share a passion for aviation and an unwavering commitment to our customers. Their hard work, integrity and determination have enabled us to achieve results that exceeded even our own expectations cultivating a diverse and loyal global airline customer base while earning a reputation for reliability, creativity and execution.”

While reflecting on the achievements of the past decade, TrueNoord is firmly focused on the future. It recently welcomed a new lead investor, Arcus Infrastructure Partners, who will help spearhead the next chapter alongside Freshstream, providing additional financial strength and momentum to pursue opportunities across the regional aviation sector.

To ensure continued success in this next phase, TrueNoord recently marked a significant milestone in its evolution by signing its first-ever direct OEM order for twenty factory-new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. This landmark investment represents one of the most important developments in the Company’s history, strengthening its portfolio and enhancing its ability to support airlines with modern, fuel-efficient and passenger-friendly fleet solutions. The first delivery is scheduled for the second half of 2027, and these next-generation aircraft represent a significant milestone in the evolution of the fleet, emphasising TrueNoord’s confidence in the long-term prospects of regional aviation.

“Regional aviation is far more than a segment of the industry,” expounds Tieleman. “It is an enabler of economic growth, social connectivity and essential services. We see enormous potential in aviation markets globally for regional aircraft to help unlock opportunities, stimulate investment and connect people and businesses to the wider world.”

As a dedicated specialist lessor, TrueNoord believes its role extends beyond leasing aircraft. Its aim is to deliver expertise, flexibility and long-term partnerships to airlines and operators as they develop sustainable business strategies. Whether supporting a growing commercial carrier, strengthening critical transportation infrastructure, or enabling special mission operations, TrueNoord is committed to helping its customers succeed and to advancing the future of regional aviation.

“The next decade begins with the same values that guided our first,” enthuses Tieleman. “We are ambitious, disciplined and focused on creating long-term value for our customers and stakeholders. We are proud of what we have achieved, grateful to everyone who helped us reach this point, and excited by the opportunities that lie ahead.”

As TrueNoord celebrates its first ten years, it looks towards new horizons with optimism and fresh momentum, strengthened by a proven track record, a growing fleet, strong financial backing and a shared belief that the best chapters of its story are still to come.
