TrueNoord enhances internal capabilities with the addition of new finance and technical colleagues

We are delighted to welcome experienced regional aviation professionals, Ian Tyrrell, Jovana Zuber Timotijević and David Joyce to our finance team, and Shaun Fullerton, who joins our technical department” says Anne-Bart Tieleman, TrueNoord CEO.

TrueNoord has announced four new appointments, further strengthening their existing team of industry specialists. A new addition to the Dublin office, Shaun Fullerton, has assumed the position of Technical Manager, with Ian Tyrrell – Financial Controller, Jovana Zuber Timotijević – Finance Manager, and David Joyce – Finance Manager, all joining the Amsterdam team.

In his new role of Technical Manager, Shaun Fullerton will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of TrueNoord’s fleet throughout their lease lifecycles. Having previously held the position of Technical Analyst at Avolon, he has broad experience in the aircraft leasing sector ranging from managing complex aircraft modification programmes, to asset management of stored aircraft, and assisting with the disposal of end of life assets. He comments, “The opportunity to join TrueNoord at this huge growth phase in the business and support the Company’s continued evolution has been a hugely rewarding experience.”

A trained Chartered Accountant from KPMG, Ian Tyrrell brings five years of leasing experience to his new position of Financial Controller at TrueNoord. He says, “TrueNoord’s impressive growth, coupled with the support of such a robust investor group, made it a particularly appealing proposition. I am pleased to have joined such a thriving lessor and have the chance to contribute to the Company’s success. Furthermore, the experience of relocating to Amsterdam for this role is truly enriching and has added a wonderful dimension to this career move.”

Newly appointed Finance Manager, Jovana Zuber Timotijević, will primarily focus on managing facilities and debt reporting, with a key responsibility for lender relationships. A strong accounting and audit background, coupled with a curious mindset, Zuber Timotijević is well-equipped to navigate evolving financial landscapes. She adds, “The positive and dynamic environment at TrueNoord, combined with the Company’s current growth and ambitious future plans, resonated with my professional goals. The prospect of supporting TrueNoord’s financial success through effective reporting and strategic insights was a compelling factor in attracting me to the team.”

Also joining the Amsterdam team in the role of Finance Manager, David Joyce’s new position focuses on aircraft management and commercial analysis. Joyce says it was the innovative and entrepreneurial approach of the TrueNoord team that first drew him to the business. He adds, “With the Company in such a strong growth phase, there are significant opportunities going forward. Coming initially from an auditing background, before transitioning into financial services advisory, I’m excited to utilise my previous professional experience and knowledge of the aircraft leasing industry to help fulfil TrueNoord’s future ambitions.”

Anne-Bart Tieleman, CEO, concludes, “Following the completion of our latest sale agreement with Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) for 11 aircraft late last year, we start 2024 with a robust and experienced team in place to support the business as we continue on our balanced and structured growth trajectory.”
